This vintage Mexican ceramic Cazuela features hand-painted black brushstrokes and a glazed interior. The beautiful, burnished base hinting at its former life as a cooking vessel.
Cazuelas (Spanish for casserole) are terra cotta dishes found all over Mexico and are used to cook traditional dishes such as Mole. Generally good condition with some visible wear, small chips on the rim and handles. Perfect for a fruit bowl or display but may not be food safe. Measurements: L 28cm x W 24cm x H 8cm.
